Don't be a fool! If you blow them, replace the fan assembly. That's 3 screws and a connector. Easy and 12 inches to the right of this part so it's easy to access. Don't run the fan at full speed and you won't burn them! Bad design, I know. Our 03 Durango chills beautifully in 2nd gear and we live in Texas where you can cook a whole hog in a spoonful of our heat! I set it to 3 and open the windows to let hot air out when I jump in for the first time. Then I reduce back to 2nd speed and after 5 minutes I open the windows. You will LIVE the resistors by running the AC fan at high speed. Be smart. Only use the first 3 speeds! At least in Durango and Dakota.
