I have a Unifi Ap at home. One on the lower level next to our living room and kitchen and one upstairs in the hallway outside the bedrooms. I've noticed that the WiFi doesn't extend far beyond my home. It's annoying because I listen to music while mowing the lawn and when I go into the yard the signal drops out. I decided to test this AP by placing it in the second history window. I was able to get Wi-Fi a few hundred yards from my property line. (I live on 1 acre). This solved my other problem with my wifi mailbox not always connecting. Mailbox signal strength increased from 34% to 74%! I was planning to install an access point on the roof of my house on an antenna mast, but a snowstorm broke out that prevented me from climbing onto the roof to install it. Once the snow melts I plan to secure it in its final position.
