This is the most impressive microphone set in this price range. The sound is clear with a good pickup at lower gain. High, mid and low frequencies are fairly balanced. The pop filter works very well and cuts out most of those pop noises. The hardware itself is unassuming, sleek, and well built. The gain control has a mid-range meter. It was very easy to put together with very few parts to worry about. If that matters to anyone, then the mic body is plastic except for the screen/aperture grille. The hand is also made of plastic. On the plus side, it's very light, making it easy to take with you. There's also a significant amount of "hissing" with the S's. Nothing that a little edit can fix. Otherwise this is a very reliable mic and you won't find too many others in this range with the same quality.
