Exactly as shown. I've been using very similar cotton hair ties for over a year, but after these things even they seem to cling to my hair. They're good and safe for me, but they don't break my hair. They look cute and one of the shades is pretty close to my hair color although I prefer black and ivory. Inside you'll feel what looks like an ordinary hair tie or rubber band, but so far none of those have snapped on me.
