I recently bought this to upgrade an old Linksys with DD-WRT installed. Linksys has been absolutely reliable, I've never had to restart it in over 3 years. I wanted to find something with a faster wireless connection that was just as reliable, and that helped. I haven't even restarted it since I installed it a few months ago. This AP is ceiling mounted in the middle of my house and provides the same or even better coverage than two APs at opposite ends of my house. I bought this device to have both the best range and simultaneous 2.4GHz and 5GHz coverage that my old AP does not have. Installation was easy with the included UniFi controller program. I disabled Wi-Fi on my existing Draytek Vigor 2110n router and from there connected to UniFi via Ethernet and used identical WPA2 SSID credentials. This was fairly easy after configuring DHCP option 43 for the IP address of the computer I installed the controller software on.
