Review on πŸ”₯ Chill in Style with the Pelican 30 Quart Elite Cooler: A Must-Have for Outdoor Enthusiasts by Daniel Ogbebor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The coolest cooler ever!

This is my first Pelican product! I'm a traveling tower technician, constantly in and out of hotels. Tired of fast food and $20-$40 for delivery and $2.50 for soda, I made a conscious cost-conscious decision to buy a cooler and store frozen food and drinks in it. which includes: 6 sodas, 4 energy drinks, 4 large soup containers (*which you can find at the deli*), 5 frozen lunch boxes, 2 burritos, and 6 packs of sausage rolls for breakfast. Here's the best part - it's chilled with 2 Pelican 5lb ice packs. Which I highly recommend, not only for their superior shelf life over traditional ice, but also because your dishes won't get soggy or filled with ice water. These ice packs were only able to freeze 60%, but that's only because of the cheap hotel freezer I used. I expect at least 2.5-3 days of 30-40 degree temps depending on how often I open and close the freezer. cooler with the amount of food and drink I have. 2 days I kept the temperature at 30 degrees. Weight: This is a heavy cooler, especially when fully loaded. I didn't weigh it, but I'd say it weighs around 40-50 pounds when loaded. Leaks: No leaks as others have reported. Space: Due to the concave lid, this cooler even fits a little beyond the fill line. .Shelf life: If the refrigerator and the contents are properly pre-chilled, you can expect 3.5 to 4 days. You can extend this with ice packs that have a freezing point of 28 degrees or lower. The pelican-shaped ice packs I use not only fit well, but work surprisingly well. After being there all day, I pulled out the ice packs that were frozen to them.
