Works great with Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga Gen 6

I wanted to connect two external home office monitors to my laptop. I just wanted to use two external monitors, not my laptop's screen. One external screen as the main screen, the second as an "extended" screen. Works perfectly. My laptop has an HDMI port to which I connected my first external monitor. My second external monitor also has HDMI. Bought this small device advertised here, connected a second HDMI cable to the small device, and then connected the device to the laptop via USB C connector, it immediately recognized the second screen as an extended display, the resolution was also excellent. I didn't have to do anything, I was surprised. I then also unplugged my first HDMI monitor from my laptop and also plugged it into the second HDMI port on the small device. I connected a small USB-C device to my laptop. Same result, works great. I then connected a printer and an external webcam to the device. Everything works perfectly. I continue to use my laptop keyboard (I prefer this keyboard, I just lay my laptop screen flat enough under external monitors so it doesn't obstruct my view). So I didn't try to connect an external keyboard or mouse to the device. But since all other devices worked, I'm sure they will work too. Result - I have a USB-C cable to connect to my laptop and everything is working and set up. I also disconnected and reconnected. Everything works. I was about to buy a $200 Lenovo docking station that didn't have stock, so I suggested trying this one. I definitely don't regret my choice. It doesn't have a power adapter so I have to connect the laptop to a power source, so 2 cables instead of one if I bought the Lenovo version. I was also worried that the laptop would get too hot. It's not a problem (my room has air conditioning so it's not very hot in my room). The only thing I don't like is that the USB-C cable is a bit short, making all other cables going to the small device too close. And this cable cannot be replaced (it is connected to a small device). I think I could buy an extension cord but right now I don't care. So it worked great for me, the device is small and much cheaper than these Lenovo solutions. I cannot guarantee this will work for everyone. But for me it exceeded my expectations.

Pros
  • Wide Compatibility: This USB dongle works well with Thunderbolt 3 compatible devices such as Dell XPS13/15, Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+, MacBook/MacBook Pro2020 2019 2018, MacBook Air2020- 2018, iPad Pro 2018 etc. ❤️ (Notes: HDMI DP function must confirm that your host device supports video output or DP alternate mode, NOT all laptops with USB-C port like this adapter CANNOT work with HP Pavilion/HP EliteBook/Lenovo IdeaPad work... )
Cons
  • I will add later
