I see! I can see what I'm working on as bright as day. YUP! Edit: I CAN see. After 6 months of happy use it just stopped working. Not just one light - both are dead. I guess you don't get much quality for $30 these days. You're probably better off going a little higher quality/price if you want it to last. Edit 2: I've moved my rating to 3 stars. 2 of these are related to the "fasthomegoods" support team - who immediately sent a new lamp when I wrote that the old one stopped working after 6 months. Great service - and for that reason I wouldn't mind buying from them again. BUT - the resulting lamp also turned out to be defective. While awaiting a response from fasthomegoods as to whether they would like to return a replacement bulb, I have started working on my 6 month old bulb and testing my "theory" that it is a power supply only. not less than 1.2-1.5 amps per 12 volts. The included power supply was DEAD - I'll have some fun taking it apart later. Connecting the lamp directly to my booth's 12V power supply, everything worked - abundance shines! This is where I noticed that it draws more than 1 amp. Most likely, this is the reason for the failure of a cheap Chinese adapter. The solution is simple - get a 12v 2amp power supply and replace the old one. You'll notice that one of the black wires has a green dotted line - that's a plus! So it's very simple :) I used a simple DROK voltage regulator/DC fuse in between, but that's not necessary. If you buy a regulator, you can get regulated power sources for just over $10, which means you can now dim your lights! Now I have a good bright light again, which is very easy to adjust.
