Seems to be a common problem with these things as I had to do it on an older 120 Johnson. For some reason the red lever breaks where it returns to the lid. The o-ring is no longer sealing, and if you don't know, it's leaking out the side or inside your lid. I just bought a used 70hp and this is another victim of a broken lever. As for this replacement, I have to give it 2 for now. Everything looks fine out of the box, but once assembled, the red lever seems to move too easily. Haven't tested it on the water yet, but I could imagine hitting a wave and suddenly flooding my motor because the lever decided to move. Since I've tried a lot with this engine, which is new to me, I'll revise my review if I'm wrong. As it stands now I see myself trying to find a replacement for a wobbly OEM part. 8/5/20 - Do not buy this item. Now it's leaking just as badly as the torn one he replaced, but it's not torn. The o-ring will not seal and will blow gas past the red lever.
