Review on πŸ”‹ Amprobe BAT-200 Battery Tester: Optimizing Battery Performance and Reliability by Josh Dyer

It's great in theory

If you have children, you probably have a lot of batteries lying around your house. I used to be what some would call a battery hoarder. I often find batteries all over the house. I put them all in a drawer to save for later. We then go to this drawer when we are ready to change the batteries in our toys, remote controls, games, etc. In theory that's great, but the problem is that sometimes some batteries don't work. Then the question arises which battery is to blame. I hate throwing away batteries, often they will power low drain devices like remote controls. Instead of keeping them just in case, I can now review and throw them away, or review and save. I am so thrilled that I finally found an inexpensive solution to my problem, this battery tester. I bought this as a hub stocking as it always complained about me stocking batteries. How to use it: This was my first purchase of this nature. I wasn't sure exactly how this thing would work. Basically you put the battery (+ side down) in the clamp, it will read the battery immediately. The needle moves across the color bar to determine if the battery is good (green), low (yellow), or "replace/charge" (red). It tests 9V, AA, AAA, C, D and 1.5V batteries. The coolest thing is that it doesn't need batteries itself and can also test rechargeable batteries. The children also liked it very much. Right after we received the battery tester, they tested every battery in our box and frantically searched for batteries to test. Save money by checking batteries instead of throwing them away. Save space by disposing of dead batteries. I think every family needs them especially if you have kids and lots of batteries. I absolutely recommend it as a must-have for the whole family and will definitely buy it again!
