The lens is versatile enough to serve as a staff member for photographing in regular situations. An excellent replacement for the lenses that come with a kit that is reasonably priced. It is recommended that you purchase the Nikkor 17-55 if you have the funds available. Better still, go full frame. Has pros: 1) Aperture 2) Image stabilizer 3) A satisfactory degree of sharpness emanating from an open hole 4) The crop has a helpful variety of focus lengths to choose from. Got cons: 1) When shooting in extremely low light, the autofocus function can fail to lock on. 2) The front ring will revolve when you focus the lens. 3) The focal length and focus rings started to crack after being used for an extended period of time. 4) The image will "jerk, bounce" when the stabilizer is started and stopped because of the motion of the camera.
