I wanted this license plate kit primarily for the backing plate. I find that often times a license plate with the movement of the car will overtime jiggle and cause these fine scratches. I use the backing plate behind my license plate to protect the car's paint. The size seemed to work just fine for me, though I did see that others were complaining about the size not fitting their cars dimensions correctly. For myself personally, I didn't have that problem. It all went on nicely. I like the little caps that go over the screws to hide them. The carbon fiber look is quite nice. All in all I would say it's a decent quality kit. It's not the fanciest one out there, but if all you want is to protect your car's paint from a jiggling license plate, and perhaps a modest little border around it, then this kit will do just fine.
