This was a budget mic with the correct pinout for my Anytone 878UV Plus radio. The sound isn't great, but it's okay, and if you want, there's a port under the rubber stopper to plug in headphones. The volume control was not evaluated because there is no volume control on the microphone. This is the basic microphone and speaker combination. There is no need to type a keyboard but this should work fine and make the radio easier to use as it has a rotating clip that can be mounted within range and the radio can be placed in a convenient spot a little further away from the face, which should reduce the absorbing RF energy.
