So, I have a box of 8511s from a local hardware store, as well as a private label box. and they are much more portable. We are now in Oregon Smoke, AQI 400+ and the headaches are gone almost immediately. I have sensory issues and where the cheaper masks itch, these are as soft as silk. Also, I was able to use duct tape to shrink my 5 year old who put it up for hours. I am attaching photos of the process I used. Not a "perfect solution" for kids, but much better than nothing when the smoke is that strong. Leakage is kept to a minimum and the only place the tape is is where the mask touches the chin, not where air will pass anyway. Test like any available to us. (Pictures with tape, but Gorilla tape holds about 10x better).
