Review on 🔍 Crimes Logic Brainteaser for Girls by ThinkFun by James Baker

I was reluctant to take this as there are only 40 cards However my 7 year old loves dogs and games so the tooth fairy brought her Dog Crimes Covid now has something to play at home). The very first card was insanely simple, telling where to place each character. I rolled my eyes and buckled in for a long, boring game. However, it turned out to be much more difficult and therefore more entertaining, so I took Cat Crimes in my 8th grade class. I feel like most cat crimes are more complex than dog crimes (although that could very well be me). My students (mostly 13-14 years old) really enjoyed it. They enjoyed working together on more complex maps. It was good to stretch her brain and let her work with inferences and inferences (we worked on that). I teach language arts and this will definitely be on my rotation now to get them thinking in a new way. The game is similar to logic grids, but with more physical visualization (and it's easier to come back if you make a mistake). I like that my kids (both at home and at school) can see the process a little more clearly. A lot of my students struggle with this mindset, so it was good practice, little effort, and just plain fun for them. **My only complaint is that the size of the box is large, but it's designed to take the little coasters off every time you want to put them on. It's frustrating because in every other game I always leave them assembled, but they don't fit that well here. You don't have to shoot a star, but it's worth noting.
