100 degrees from real temperature!
OK, maybe I have a defective one? I bought this a long time ago, used it for deep frying and have had browning and burning issues. I practically gave up frying for a while. I have since bought another thermometer from a different brand and decided to "check" both of them. This Escali was 100 degrees Fahrenheit "lower" than the other thermometer! I wonder why my food kept burning?!? I think that was the answer. I wouldn't risk buying this unless you have another to try.
