The comforter was vacuum packed and it expands very quickly when opened. The colors look the same as in the picture. The pillowcase zips up but on the back instead of the side so it's well hidden and looks very nice. I have the Cal King and it felt like I was putting it on sideways because the label is on the side which feels awkward but it's a minor thing. This isn't a basic duvet, but it still feels a bit fluffy, but in a good way, like a cross between a duvet and a regular duvet. it is not bulky. It's warm, but not too warm. Maybe perfect for fall or spring, but an extra layer may be needed for winter. The fabric is smooth and comfortable.
