Works best with Kevita bottles (brown bottles with a heart on the bottom). The threads simply fit better between the bottle and cap than on the clear GT bottles. The carving on the GT bottles is definitely different. I broke one of the caps while screwing it onto the GT bottle. Note that it will definitely come in handy to use a rubber grip to close the caps (especially on a GT bottle where the threads don't match) and unscrew that cap later. You can get them to hold the pressure on either type of bottle, but you just have to put more effort in putting the cap on and off the GT. The caps are smooth at the edge, which usually makes it difficult to twist them by force.
