These little dust caps come in very handy. I often install commercial and home Ethernet networks where dust becomes a problem over time. I use them to cover unused RJ45 ports on patch panels, switches, routers and unused keystone jacks. They work great. I had no problems inserting or deleting. For people who have. I have no idea what you could be doing wrong, but you're probably tying them to an RJ45 port.
