3M Vinyl Product Review. Waxed paper base with 3M logo all over. I tried a dry install because it was a video I found on Youtube. Then also perform a wet install with isopropyl alcohol, water, and a drop of soap. Wet laying is much better! 2 photos right after installation. The first shows the alcohol bubbles under the vinyl, the second shows the effect of the glue as you pull (pull) it out of the lens. A day later the traces of glue were mostly gone; like liquid bubbles. I don't know if it will hold up better in the long run. I recommend using alcohol as it doesn't create bubbles and the vinyl slides easily over the lens. The product will REALLY benefit from installation instructions as the youtube videos will NOT give you a close up of what it looks like once installed, nor will alcohol or soapy water affect long term adhesion. So I tried a dry install on the left and a wet install on the right. I have installed it on Oddyssey and RV headlights. Martin Politics, June 2019 I will come back and edit my review if the product fails. Edit, over a year after installation the vinyl still looks great. I have only put the vinyl on the Honda headlights and the difference is obvious, the unprotected lens has turned yellow and becomes opaque while the protected headlight is still very transparent!
