Incredibly effective air purifier for its size and price (Idiot's Journey)

TLDR: This is the best air purifier I have ever used based on size, noise level, price, features and actual air purification. Don't be a fool like me by not removing the plastic wrap from the filter inside the device before using it! STORY TIME: After moving into a musty, pet-friendly apartment, I became sensitive to mold, allergens, and dander. House in Massachusetts. We already have a few cleaners at home (one of which is a Dyson TP02) and the one we used in our bedroom (Hamilton Beach TrueAir) did its job well, but it wasn't enough for me. I still had a stuffy nose, breathing problems and some skin irritations that prevented me from sleeping. We decided to upgrade our bedroom air purifier to see if that would make a difference, although I really liked the size and sound of the TrueAir compared to the Dyson setup in our room. After some research I stumbled across the PuroAir purifier and found that it ticked all the right boxes and offered some features like the HIPA-14 filter and air sensor. I knew I'd spend a little more but you get what you pay for and we've already had a Dyson that was a lot more expensive. When I received this device I was too excited and quickly took it out of the box to try it out. to compare it to TrueAir. This is where my stupidity comes in: I never opened the unit to take out the plastic bag that contained the filter that kept it fresh! does not turn green. I decided to give him some time and went away for a few hours. Upon my return, the sensor light eventually turned green, but I couldn't get past the noise (because I keep it next to my bed) and also found that I had mistakenly left TrueAir on. Something went wrong and as a last resort before returning I decided to check the filter. Oh wonder it was still in the damn bag! This poor machine was just grinding and trying to force air through the plastic. After removing the pouch and restarting, the sensor not only turned green after MINUTES, but was also quieter than the TrueAir. In addition, I realized that the sensor was rightly checking the air quality because another air purifier was working and ended up clearing the room (but PuroAir does it MUCH faster and doesn't need a sealed empty space to get in there). . After testing things out for a few weeks I have to say I LOVE this air purifier. Not only do I breathe better, I sleep better too. The auto and sleep settings are features I never knew I needed, and they're so quiet I can barely tell it's running. I can see the timer being useful although I don't use it often as I just leave it on all the time. Don't hesitate to buy this product. This is the best purifier I've ever used and I plan on eventually replacing the Dyson in other rooms as they just take up more space, the filters are more expensive and don't do the job that this one does. Will definitely remember to remove the plastic next time lol
