My husband and gerbils Sam and Dean love this sink for weekly dust baths. <3 These are males, tall/muscled for gerbils, but they both fit here and have extra room to roll around, which was my biggest problem finding a dust bath. The ceramic dust bath in the shape of a cute hamster (with ears on top) was simply too small for the two, since as brothers they do almost everything together. :) Winchesters (as they're sometimes called when they're moving too fast for me to see - Sam is a little lighter than Dean) sometimes dig into the shell but don't scratch it. They also tend to chew on everything, so we couldn't give them a plastic bath without them chewing it up like gerbils usually do. Dean in particular is a very destructive guy so he tried to chew on the shell but quickly realized it was awful but there was no sign of chewing. The curved design of the case makes it easy to dust hard-to-reach places (Dean always forgets to clean behind his ears so he at least collects some dust there). It's beautiful, has enough room for two large gerbils and is strong, durable and heavy so it won't tip over while having fun with the gerbils! Thanks for the great gerbil dust bath! PS It's also good for the Syrian hamster for those wondering if the largest species of house hamster will like it. <3
