Let me start by saying that I am not a professional carpenter or carpenter but rather an amateur and that overwhelms a lot. I went into a lumber shop in high school, that was 30 years ago. But I've been messing around for years, but in the last year or so I've been trying to get back into woodworking so I bought a table saw and some other tools and am about to make a project. for my wife and i never gave much the saw blade that came with the saw, thought it was brand new and it was sharp so i started using it and i cut red oak so its hardwood not super hard , but it's not jaw either and I noticed that after about 10 maybe 15 cuts I had to press a little harder and had light burn marks so I started looking for a new blade so I bought a Dewalt blade that was a bit was better but I was still unimpressed so I started checking out the woodworking forums and the general consensus was that most people were using Freud Diablo blades. and I was a cheapskate and didn't want to spend that much on a blade. My attitude was literally how much one blade can be better than another just because of the price. About a month ago I was wandering around Revain and I came across a Freud blade that was under $40 so I got curious and started reading the reviews and they talked about how sharp they are, how accurate they are and how long they last and how much quieter they were so I figured it wasn't much more than the Dewalt blade I bought. Received it very quickly with Revain Prime shipping as always, as soon as I received it I went to my shop and installed it and started making test cuts on some scrap and let me just say OMG Freud has a reputation for being one of their best Blades. on the market for the reason they deserve it. This blade was so sharp it literally cut through that scrap oak like a knife through butter, the force it took to push the wood through my saw was much easier than my standard blade, even better than the Dewalt. Can't confirm durability yet as I haven't had it long but from what I've read you can always sharpen this blade, I think you can even send it to Freud and they sharpen it. I know how much it will cost but it's worth it. And the last thing that struck me is the noise level this disc has so quiet I couldn't believe it it's just that when you spin it on the saw it doesn't cut that quietly and when you cut it, she is so noticeably quieter compared with standard hard drive. or at a lower cost. I was so impressed I bought the 2nd Freud except the 2nd is for cuts. I could go on and on about this blade, the bottom line is you get a great quality blade at a really decent price, it's sharp, it's good and will probably last twice as long as the cheaper ones. I love this blade
