Review on MikroTik RBcAPGi-5acD2nD-US: High-performance Dual-Band 802.11ac Access Point by Ryan Cross

I've been using a Mikrotik router (RB750) for years but have always left Wi-Fi for the ISP router that comes with my DSL. After seeing this product on the Mikrotik website I thought it would be good to put Wi-Fi back on my existing RB750 and get some control over it that AT&T doesn't give me on their router. Installation required a little reading of the Mikrotik wiki as I don't use the Windows GUI tools to set up my Mikrotik, but it was there. After setting up a security profile and enabling it on the Wi-Fi interfaces, I happily walked around the house with multiple devices to run speed tests. Even in the farthest corners of my home, performance has been fantastic - the signal is much better than my ISP router plus dual band, and my family members report that they are already experiencing better reliability. In addition, with POE, it is very easy to put it in the middle of the house. I live in a one-story house with an area of 1900 sq.m. foot and the signal strength throughout the house is excellent. I wish I had bought this item sooner!
