A lot of research has been done on track lighting, particularly with LED lights. With WAC Lighting as the manufacturer of all parts except the lamps, I ordered 8ft and 4ft sections of HTK-178-WT H series white track, power connectors, couplers and lightheads. The heads are minimalistic but functional. They go beautifully with white Cree LED bulbs. My wife and I are very happy with the result. The only problem I had was with the delivery. The splints are supplied in a thick cardboard tube. One of the long rails arrived intact, while the other was packed in a box with a tube inside. The tube was warped and bent and the outer box had been taped over where it had literally been torn all the way around. Needless to say, the trail was tampered with, most likely by the shipper. Among the countless orders from Revane, this was my first return. The process took some time, but after a few days I got a new track and everything was fine. Thanks for the hassle-free return! Another follow-up order for 8ft rails also arrived with no problems. In addition to track equipment, there are many decisions regarding LED bulbs - physical size (PAR 28 short neck), wattage (75 watt incandescent equivalent), color temperature (3000K - slightly "warm"), beam angle ((combination of 40-25 Degree Flood and 25 Degree Spot) Oh, and they should be dimmable too, we're very happy with the solution we chose.
