Review on ๐Ÿ”ฆ KOOMTOOM 83mm Rubber Housing Seal Cap Dust Cover for Headlight Conversion Kit, Pack of 2 by Eric Power

Finally a dust cap that fits the 2018 Ford F-150! Let's see if they hold moisture

Needed large dust caps for my 2018 Ford F-150 which I installed new LED bulbs for low and high beam. Factory dust covers are great when using factory halogen bulbs. LED bulbs with cooling fans do not allow for a perfect fit of factory flat bases. Recently my passenger side headlight got wet due to heavy rain. When I removed the factory dust caps, I found water underneath. Tried other dust caps and they didn't fit properly, they actually fit behind the fender with a bit of handwork to get access to the headlight housing, the low beam was more difficult to install than the high beam just because of the tightness behind the bulb. Let's see if the humidity stops on them now. It also helps to make room behind the fans of the LED lights so they can breathe a little now. Because heat is the worst enemy of LEDs! Hope they don't get wet! As for mounting on a 2018 Ford F-150, these 83mm fit great! You don't even have to use any ties with them, they're not going anywhere. Update 6/29/19: These rubber dust caps work! I had moisture in my left headlight because the factory caps didn't seal well enough due to the extended fan on my LED bulbs. These caps seal so well that no moisture escapes! I had to remove the moisture first and let it dry and then put the caps back on. After that, no moisture got into the headlights, even after heavy rain or a car wash. Also improve airflow for the fans of my LEDs that I have in both high and low beam. Worth every dollar they cost. Update 7/20/19: I've had these dust caps on my 2018 Ford F-150 for a long time. I initially had more moisture in my headlights but that's because these dust caps worked so well and I still had moisture in my headlights when I had the original dust caps. So I had to take them off and let the headlights dry completely and then put the dust caps back on. Once I did that, I never had moisture! And it's rainy season in Florida and I wash my truck all the time. At that time I was constantly leaking moisture due to my upgraded LED bulbs being larger than the original bulbs and therefore the dust caps didn't stay on fully and leaked some water. Now is not the reason.
