Beautiful case. It clicks into place well and makes a fairly stable impression. I'm not sure if it offers a lot of protection in the event of a fall, but it will certainly protect against scratches and at least provide a small buffer if I drop my iPad from a short distance. My only complaint is that there's no way to secure the lid when I flip it back (not with a triangle to support it, but back to use the iPad while holding it). it slides and the top flap extends over the edge of the iPad, making it a bit awkward to hold. It's not the end of the world, and for the price you can't expect it to be perfect. My iPad is rarely used, I can live with that. However, when folded into a triangle to support it, it feels pretty solid. Other: The lid closes well. The plastic on the back will also scratch quickly - but that's completely normal at this price. I'll just buy another one when this wears out.
