Used to replace rear subwoofer in 2016 Camry with JBL system. I made my own plywood adapter to fit this 8" subwoofer into a 6x9 hole so it is installed in an infinite baffle configuration with the trunk acting as the subwoofer. So far I've left it at the 4 ohm position, which better matches the 6 ohm impedance of the original subwoofer. He's blowing his pants out of the crappy original ultra light paper cone subwoofer he replaced, nice clean tight bass. Now I really feel the strings and details in the music. The subwoofer itself gets 5 stars from me, but I ordered 2 of them used from Amazon, one of which came with a Skar brand subwoofer packed in a Kappa 800W box. I returned it. I won't rate it here as it's possible Very good that someone cheated Amazon on the return and they just turned around and sent me the box without checking what was returned in the box. Also of note is that the used Kappa 800W subwoofer I received was actually an 8" Kappa 800W. , was packed in an extra box Kappa 1000W (10 inch)! At least they got it right. Be yourself so be aware, when you order used items from an Amazon warehouse, it turns out that the contents are not always checked before shipment, in which case Amazon is redeemed by its great returns policy.
