I put it on my little kitty and the poor guy couldn't even walk. It's definitely better than a pubic cone and he can tolerate it, but I still have to keep an eye on him in this case. To prevent licking, I recommend an inflatable donut rescue collar. Also, my cat is 2 years old and weighs just over 13 pounds and is 20 inches long from nose to butt. Hope this helped someone!
