Usually weak and ineffective

They are not suitable for some tank designs. They hold pretty tight on one of my tanks and are pretty much useless on 3 others. I would recommend buying the small size even if you have a large tank as the large size is too loose and doesn't close the cap tightly. They are flexible so the smaller sizes should fit most tanks. However, in 9/10 cases they don't work at all. The only reason I repurchased them was because I got them as an optional item for less than $3. I use bungee cords wrappedโ€ฆ

Easier than you think.

Anyone interested in reptiles/exotics knows that a pair of clips is NOT enough to secure the top of the screen. You will need at least two packs of 2. Installation is easy once you know where to position the lever: exactly at the right angle at the top of the clip as you slide the latch under the screen bezel. I've installed dozens of them and they need a boost, but they're perfect for the top part of the Zilla (and other brands) screen. When I first installed these clamps many years ago, itโ€ฆ

The clips work but are ugly

saw the photo. I use four of these to squeeze a homemade strainer into a 125 gallon tank (for turtles). Pros: They hold the screen in place, all-metal construction, and inexpensive. Cons: A bit tricky to remove and install (I slide the bottom flange under the body frame, slide the top flange over the top of the tank and clip it to the screen - see photo) because you have to be careful with the clip you can use on the tank - and screen frames scratch slightly (the metal edges are sharp), theโ€ฆ
