but I thought there might be some interest in this item to install it in the iPod classic as a replacement for the original hard drive, so I'll share mine experience here. The details of replacing a hard drive with a compact flash card are well documented on the web, so I won't go into detail. Suffice it to say that you will need an adapter, available from Tarkan's online store, and a compact flash card. I download music from my iTunes library to my iPods in Apple lossless format. On the original hard drive, the music stops annoyingly for a second or two during playback. So far this exchange seems to have fixed this shortcoming (I'll update this review if the breaks happen again). I consider myself a moderate music lover and while I honestly can't claim any improvement in sound quality yet, I have to say that I don't hear any degradation in square compared to the original drive. The sound quality is excellent in my opinion, and the iPod is lighter and quieter. My classic 5th gen iPod that was 30GB is now 128GB. It would be the best thing you could do for the money you could make. I love it!
