Good:1. The structure was fine. I managed to do it in about 30-45 minutes with the tools provided2. There were times when the holes didn't line up perfectly, but that was my own fault, not the manufacturer's. These instructions are (more or less) just pictures so you really need to pay attention to the diagrams lest you put the strut/bar/board backwards etc.3. Each piece (except planks) comes with at least one *extra* in case you lose it.4. The part itself makes a solid and wear-resistant impression. Bad: 1. What I don't like is that the fasteners connecting the shelf at the top to the horizontal middle shelf at the bottom are visible and chrome plated instead of being covered with an inlay or matte finish. I understand that this part should be cheap, but cheap inserts certainly wouldn't hurt the end result. I just have to put tall objects in the middle of the walls to hide them. Small callus.2. The double-sided metal stair frames consist of an upper and a lower part, which must be plugged into each other and then screwed together. The process of fitting them together is much more difficult than any other aspect of assembly. It took lubricating the elbow and a little tinkering. But putting it together made me feel strong and reassured. I'll update if anything outrageous happens, but so far I haven't regretted the purchase. It's cheap, looks decent and could be sent to college with the kid in the future.
