Update: 2017-09-02 Now I find the lap belt cover useful. With the strap removed, I use zip ties (sold separately) to secure the back of the bag to the front of the bike's handlebars. Works perfectly. I bought it almost 2 years ago as a pannier. I found it durable and flexible. The opening in the main compartment limits items to about an inch shorter than the length of the space, but it's perfect for snacks and juice boxes. For example, put your iPhone in one side pocket and the first aid kit in another. The front organizer pocket offers space for multi-tools, belts and other small items. The Velcro area for hip belt storage is handy when you need to stash your bag but impractical for everyday use.
