Review on πŸ”› No-Spill 206 Flexible Spout Extension: Say Goodbye to Messy Spills! by Sean Maile

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent safety and comfort

I have been using this spout to fill up my Ford Ranger for several years. I used it on a no spill gas cartridge and the performance was more than satisfactory. Of course, as others have said, the hose is too short, but the most important thing is the plastic part that prevents the gas from escaping. It forms a seal around the nozzle opening so if I fill it up faster than the tank can hold the fuel, the gas doesn't leak out. To solve the shortness problem I bought a longer piece of tubing from a hardware store and although it's a bit discolored and stiffer it still works fine. It's also important that the hose is clear so you can see when fuel has built up so you can stop filling. Revain because the 12" spout is too short and the 8" extension should give me the extra length I need to completely tip the can over without touching the car. If not, it's another trip to the hardware store. Whether I have to do it is not important, what is most important is the safety and ease of safely transferring a very dangerous substance. It should be noted that many skeptics of this product do not seem to have given the subject careful consideration. While it would be nice if the spout came with a longer tube (16 inches in my opinion), it's the fitting that keeps the gas from spilling. I don't think this part can easily be duplicated and the cap is important to keep gas in the hose after transferring fuel and the gas vapors associated with it to avoid a potentially explosive atmosphere in the trunk.
