Imperfect paper color and difficult surface
I use colored pencils, watercolor pencils and watercolor pencils/markers. The paper is quite smooth and, without exception, hardly accepts anything I use. The colors are barely recognizable. It reminds me of the surface of cardboard, which works best with permanent markers and tempera paint. However, the paper is a variegated color. mottled gray tones, making it great for sketching but not for finished work.
