Reviews said boots were narrow, so I gave them a try for my size 13A foot. Too wide for me, so I needed an insert, but they were comfortable from the start. Not sturdy enough for hiking, but quickly became my everyday shoe for about 5 months until the leather gave way near my toes right along the welt, so no way to repair them. Until that point, I had been very pleasantly surprised with the quality and comfort of the shoe, as well as the style. Just a shame the leather gave way. I really liked these shoes otherwise.
