I bought it about half a year ago and used it for traveling and at home. It's amazing how powerful this little panel is! I've used it on cloudy days in the Pacific Northwest, sunny days in the desert, and on the Olympic Peninsula. It's compact and can handle heavier loads than I could imagine. I usually keep it safe, but a couple of times I've either dropped it between the seats just to keep it out of the way, or dropped it right on the floor. it is not damaged at all. The fold out panel is accompanied by a durable zipped pouch containing various attachments and an instruction manual. The panel can be mounted on a surface at an optimal angle for sun exposure, or simply hung by the grommets on rubber bands or string from any suitable vehicle, tree or pole. My original purchase was so I could charge my power bank and phone. phones on the street. If you only have one USB plug-in on the device, things get trickier, but if you plug the phones into two USB ports on the power bank, and then plug the power bank into the solar panel, all three will charge. Obviously cloudy days are an issue, but most days I've even had a minimal boost, which at least keeps my phones alive if the battery registers when I plug it in. The last week was a real test. With rain, wind and thunderstorms we had no electricity for a day, I was able to keep my phone charged in these conditions. However, the last two days have been a real win! It's late September in north Washington and my car battery is dead. I used the panel and the included battery clips and extension cord to charge it up enough yesterday afternoon and this morning to start it up and drive away. I made sure it was at the optimal angle to the sun and that it was a bright day. It lasted several hours. Cool! I wholeheartedly recommend it and am considering buying another one.
