This lamp is very pleasant to look at and certainly bright enough. I edited this review because I finally got the app working well enough, but it's pretty quirky. be almost perfect. The Y&W version has a range of 3000k to 6500k and the w&b version has a range of 6500k to 20000k and is better suited for marine aquariums. But it would be nice if the Y&W version went to 8000k, which I think would result in higher LED power in the blue region. However, the 6500k does its job very well. If the app keeps crashing when trying to connect to daylight mode, try restarting the app and then making changes in manual mode before trying to connect to daylight mode.
