This book opens new doors by looking at embroidery through the eyes of an artist. I was drawn in by the beautiful cover and was so happy to see that it combined my interests in embroidery and landscape painting. Not another "follow the dots" tutorial, this one starts with drawings and shows you how to enhance and personalize your designs with creative embroidery. Once you start thinking this way, you'll find yourself creating your own designs based on photos, the view out the window, or whatever you like. This is the most exciting and original approach to crafts I've seen in years.
