I have a new monitor that works fine with HDMI except I can't see my BIOS on boot. HDMI doesn't actually show anything until Windows starts. The solution for those of us with monitors showing this issue (on other high-end monitors) is to plug in the monitor's VGA port on the rare occasion that the BIOS menu is required. I don't need an HDMI to VGA adapter. which had an additional box with cables attached to the monitor or the back of the PC. And I didn't want to keep the adapter in a drawer somewhere. just reach out to it on the rare occasions you need it. This HDMI to VGA converter is perfect for me. I plug it into the monitor's VGA port and just leave it there. ALWAYS. It's small enough to be hidden behind the monitor. Whenever I need to use the BIOS menu, I just unplug the HDMI cable from the monitor and plug it into this converter. It will always be there when I need it and won't compromise anything when I don't need it. PERFECT. I couldn't ask for anything better.
