Well if you just need to press the brake or clutch pedal then less heavy products like Thexton or Lisle 48700 throttle tools will do the trick BUT if you need to press the pedal to check the hydraulic system or put pressure on the Exercise boat ramp, this is the best product for the task. Built like a beast, the Lisle 21520 will survive any pedal pressure you can put on it. I highly recommend this product if you work with non-hydraulic clutches (aka "poof" clutches) or brakes. This thing is pretty easy to set up and won't bend an inch. The Lisle Throttle Tool #48700 does an excellent job of accurately controlling the accelerator pedal for testing and diagnostic purposes. It has 1/2" threads connecting two thin rods together, so I wouldn't recommend using the 48700 for brake or clutch purposes, except for the simple application of light pressure to switch a brake or clutch switch for basic to run tests. If you need to press and hold the brake or clutch hard, use 21200 instead.
