Let me upfront by saying that I'm usually 36DDD at Victoria's Secret. I have several VS 36DDD bras and they fit. Anyway, I needed a strapless dress and wanted to order from Revain for speed (wanted to wear a specific dress this weekend, had one day delivery and saved a trip to the mall). The dimensions are extremely impractical. I originally ordered a 36E which would have been my normal size but the strap was very small. I returned it and bought the 40DD based on some of the reviews I read about the sizing. The 40DD's strap fitted better BUT the cups were uncomfortable. Even though I reduced the cup size, it felt like there was extra fabric at the top and my breasts just sat there. I've seen several photos of people wearing this bra and they looked great so I was determined to find out my correct size and ordered the 40D. Size 40D fits a lot better which is strange for me but I'm glad it worked out. Anyway, after all the hassle with sizing, I was finally able to wear this bra. It held up well, didn't bunch up, didn't move, my chest felt secure in the cute off the shoulder dress I was wearing. Overall I would recommend this but be careful of the size if you want to get it.
