We are having our third child soon and have used the old version of this seat for the first two. It's true that it's not trendy and the padding is thinner than some of the more expensive models, but it's great value for money! It's durable, well made and will protect my child if they ever need it. It's also one of the narrowest car seats on the market, which is important when you're trying to fit 3 car seats (or in this case, 2 car seats and a booster seat) in the back row. It takes some force to get the base firmly in place, but once that's done the car seat is very easy to put on and take off. Triangular handle allows for comfortable holding at different angles. I'm giving it a four because it's definitely not the best car seat available, but it is the best narrow car seat available for the money.
