Simple but smart. Actually very helpful. You remove the blue sleeve to insert the bit and then slide the sleeve back on, leaving about a quarter inch of the bit open, just enough to engage the screw and allow the magnetic ring in the sleeve to hold the screw in place and hold position. Of course you can also use an extension without a sleeve. Very well done. The main downside is that the hex holder is a bit smaller so it may take some force to get the bit in and out. I'm not sure if this was intentional or just my block. It's ok, the blade won't fall out. The size may be accurate for Makita bits, but all mine fit.
