Review on Red Head High-Performance SDS Plus Drill Bit by Michael Bressler

I bought this to install .75 x 1.75 inch anchors for pool decks. The concrete is 15 years old and very hard. The beat worked great. BUT after twenty plus 1.75" holes it was noticeably slower and the holes were a little smaller than 3/4" so the tip of the bit was definitely worn out. If you need 30 holes this bit will do the job. If you need 200 holes, probably not. It did what I wanted and the price was right so I'm happy with the purchase. Note: I have no idea what the lifespan of this type of bit should be if they can/should be sharpened when it fits. for my specific concrete, or even if my technique was not suitable for this type of bit. I just bought it and started drilling.
