They are great for delicate items!
I threw away my other sponges because I'm addicted to silicone dishwashing sponges. It is highly recommended and more hygienic. They don't smell like a normal sponge when their bottom gets wet in a kitchen sink. They have found an additional use, they remove animal hair from fabrics and upholstery.
