Review on HyperX Cloud II, gun metal by Dorota Lightman ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend it.

The 7.1 setting on equalizers is nothing more than clever marketing. It made sense, considering that true surround sound requires more than just two speakers. There is no audio-settings software available. benefits with. These metal earbuds are both comfy and high-quality. These fit perfectly, albeit they're a bit back-to-back on my big skull; if they weren't adjustable at all, they'd be really unpleasant. A flexible microphone that performs admirably. Unlike "esports" headphones like Steelseries, which are just good for gaming, these provide a pleasant sound that can be used for a variety of activities. Having drawbacks: All reviews gloss over a major flaw with the provided USB sound card: intermittent, barely audible clicks occur while using it; technical help shrugs and sends a replacement card with the level turned down (google HyperX Cloud II crackling sounds ). The issue is that the headphones only have a single output (3.5 mm) for both the audio and the microphone, thus without it, neither will function. If the issue is isolated to the USB dongle, then all you need is a second one, or a splitter to create two separate outputs from a single one. An airplane-specific splitter exists, but the connections' spacing prevents it from being used in any practical situation. As an explanation, it's worth noting that this problem is exacerbated at louder volumes and in environments where the music is not played at full volume (for example, a short pause after a hot moment). The effect disappears at typical listening volumes. You can easily replace the card at Kingston's Hong Kong office. There is familiarity with this coupling, and the replacement card is issued in a matter of minutes, without incident (before that, you need to contact technical support by phone). It also resulted in a 40% decrease in maximum volume. Those who use their headphones as speakers will find this frustrating.
