The first thing that caught my eye was the build quality of the carpet. The mat feels very durable and the point where the cable connects to the mat is solid. I turned the temperature dial all the way up and let it sit for an hour before checking the temperature with an infrared thermometer. Some areas of the mat were warmer than others, but I believe the heat is somewhere between 130 and 145 degrees Fahrenheit. I currently use a reptile enclosure warmer by attaching it to the bottom of the tank with foil tape. At the moment it seems to be doing a great job of getting the enclosure to the right temperature for my pet snake.
