Lies, and decently enough. I measured on four different thermometers: from the old Soviet and modern to two high-quality electronic ones. Between these thermometers there was a difference of about one degree. The values ​​were as follows: at room temperature, the discrepancy was from 3.3 to 5 degrees; in cool near-zero weather, the temperature rise was more than 5.5 degrees. Of course, the model is interesting, but I think it is unjustified to give such money for a product that does not correctly show the temperature. Two points. I do not recommend.
