Quite switched to Skechers because I like the fit, style, choice and reasonable price. I am an older person and as my hands are less useful some simple things like tying my shoelaces become more difficult for me. This is the first time I've tried velcro and they seem to work. As with many older people, my feet are swollen and I wish the top buckles were an inch longer. (Original Rating) I originally posted this as 4 stars. After two months I demote it to one. The most persistent problem described in the reviews was the metal lining in the eyelets becoming detached, rendering the shoe unusable. Knowing the problem, the shoes were well priced and I decided to take a chance. Two months later, the metal inserts in the right eyelets came out, quickly rendering the shoes unusable. Aside from falling apart after a few months, the shoes were fine.
